author

Luigi Colombo (Phillia)

description

Mediums: oil, cardboard.
Location: private collection.

The figures hovering in space are not just abstract geometric objects. They have a deep meaning, causing particular associations and emotional responses in the subconscious. The work testifies to the author’s interest in the human psyche and the manifestation of the unconscious, which appeared in Phillia in the early 30s. The cross, which for most Europeans is a symbol of religion, the pyramid and other objects are arranged in a certain order, creating a harmonious composition.
