Mediums: metal.
Location: Chicago Grant Park (the USA).

One hundred six cast iron figures, each about 2 meters 75 centimeters high, are something like shells of the lower parts of human figures. They seem to be frozen in the course of their slow movement. The characters are similar in general shape but differ in detail. The model for each of them was made by the author and her three assistants manually; this determined the individuality of each sculpture. The surface of the objects is like the bark of old trees or the wrinkled skin of a man. The figures were created in two years and cast near the Polish city of Poznan in a huge industrial foundry.
