description

Mediums: oil, canvas.
Location: Bashkir State Art Museum named after M. Nesterov (Russia).

The canvas on a fantasy theme is painted in a cubo-futuristic technique, but according to the vivid emotion of colours can be attributed to Expressionism. The multi-coloured valley, where a peacock is walking, has two characters. While the anatomical proportions of the standing figure are maintained, the woman kneeling in front of the majestic bird is depicted in several angles, as Picasso “taught” to do it. The author is faithful to his style to boldly mix styles, and the viewer can see lush vegetation consisting of triangles and other geometric shapes under an evenly depicted right circumference of the rainbow. The shadows that make the figures voluminous are interesting – they are blue-brown and gray-brown.
