Tram. Lviv street in Kyiv

description

Mediums: oil, canvas.
Location: The private collection of V. Dudakov, Moscow (Russia).

The unusual triangular tram does not mean that such mechanisms existed at the beginning of the 20th century – just the cabin of the tram rushes forward rapidly. The artist conveyed the movement in every detail: your eyes (as well as the painter’s brush) fail to watch the figures of people walking on the sidewalk; therefore, their legs and hands resemble huge brackets and commas. A dog running next to its owner looks like its shadow, just this shadow is as orange as the dog. The rhythm of the big city is everywhere: in the tilted roofs of the houses, the intersection of wire lines and moving blue shadows.
