Briefly about the painting:
As a member of the Supremus group, Kliun created dozens of Suprematist non-figurative compositions in 1916-1917. From the postulates of this style, it follows that the artist can reach the primary level – decomposition of the painting into the “bricks” of its elements. At the same time, the practice of Suprematism asserts the priority of two components – colors and forms, and the main goal is to put out the non-objective as a way to overcome Cubism. These principles are interpreted by the author in this composition, the elements of which partly whimsically interact, while some remain self-sufficient.
