description

Mediums: oil, sand, nails, board.
Location: The State Russian Museum, Saint Petersburg (Russian Federation).

The surrealistic painting with cold «night» colours has a very harmonious rounded composition. Having achieved the portrait similarity of his closest friend, the author no less realistically depicted the recognizable landscape of the Seine river with a bridge. The fact that the bridge is the shoulders of the character, and its scale covers all the visible space illuminated by city lights amazes the viewer. The artist carefully depicted the hands of the writer and director in the foreground.
