Mediums: oil, canvas.
Location: The Museum of Modern Art (New York, the USA).

Briefly about the painting:

One of the few abstract works of the artist, almost entirely consisting of many intersecting and overlapping lines. These lines, forming bizarre structures, resemble a web and are arranged in such a way that it seems to the viewer as if he is inside a spider cocoon. Through this confusion, the surrounding landscape only slightly shines through, and it becomes clear that it is located at a high altitude above the ground. Two swirling funnels depicted here create a circular motion and lead the eye down, causing a feeling of slight dizziness.
