description

Mediums: oil, canvas.
Location: The collection of James Butterwick (Great Britain).

The creation of this painting preceded the creation of the legendary “Train” in 1915. It can be considered a standard for the study of the principles of cubofuturism – the artist conveyed rapid movement using geometric planes to transmit space, including the air environment, excited by the passage of a train. The image object is harmoniously included in the background, which serves as a continuance of the plot. At the same time, the palette is much closer to expressionistic emotions than the cold “dismemberment” of an object into fragments. The author used streamlined geometric shapes – a semicircle, an oval, and “soft” cones.
