Vladimir Tatlin

description

Mediums: glue paints, canvas.
Location: State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow (Russia).

In this work of the early period, the artist boldly fragmented the image, divided it into different planes, using heavy contours to determine the boundaries of the element. The approach assumes the influence of Cubism, although the painting does not have any sharp geometric lines or figures that usually form the cubist image. Instead, Tatlin uses curvilinear lines, rounded shapes and predominantly a three-color palette. Although this is a representative picture, the depth and perspective are skewed, while the shapes of the figures and objects are simplified and flattened.
