description

Mediums: oil, canvas.
Location: The Paris National Centre of Arts of Georges Pompidou (France).

The collective portrait painted during the Paris period depicts a family at table. Different characters, including a fluffy dog, are quite realistic when watched separately each. The table, dishes and products on it are also carefully depicted. Perhaps, the head of the family is present in the room virtually, since a part of the wall shines through his broad shoulders. The artist uses the ocher shades of the palette with surprising virtuosity, giving the folds of white clothes and tablecloths a living volume.
