Self-portrait with flowers-flashlights

author

Egon Schiele

description

Mediums: oil, canvas.
Dimensions: 398 x 322 сm.
Location: Leopold Museum, Vienna, Austria.

The artist loved himself very much. During his short life (27 years) Schiele created many self-portraits, including quite vulgar. This is the most famous of them. The composition is harmonious: there are no distorted features and broken lines characteristic of the master’s work. It seems that the artist admires himself in his own mind, pretending to be thinking about something important.
