Joseph Beuys

description

Mediums: wood, nails, oil; box: glass, metal.
Location: The Museum of Modern Art, New York (the USA).

Beuys worked on the formation of ensembles for individual collectors. Many of the items were attributes of public speaking-actions, which were the central part of the artist’s practice. A small sculpture (its height is less than 25 cm) is a schematic representation of a female figure. Formal associations in such works are connected with the rhythm of echo-signals of nature, with the study of the combination of colours or the harmony of forms of various configurations.
