description

A stepladder, a magnifying glass on a rope, a canvas with an inscription on the ceiling.

Like in other works of the avant-garde artist, the viewer needs to be directly involved in this installation. To understand its essence, a person must climb the stairs to the ceiling and examine the inscription “Yes” on a small canvas with the help of a magnifying glass. The work is famous for the fact that John Lennon noticed it and, climbing the stairs, admired the simplicity and deep meaning of the author’s ideas. This moment is considered the beginning of the relationship between Lennon and Ono; they were very fruitful and lasted until the death of the musician.
