Truncated Pyramid Room

author

Bruce Nauman

description

Location: Lörrach (Germany).

The construction, the concept of which was developed by Nauman in 1982, was installed during the reconstruction of the city center in 1998. The work is a matte black pyramid with a truncated top – 7.5 meters high. The sculpture (or the universal pyramidal hall) made in the style of minimalism was the first work of the artist, implemented in Europe. At night, it is illuminated by bright yellow light. A work similar in aesthetics is located in the art park of Villa di Vertesnis in Italy.
