description

Glass, metal.

The completely transparent labyrinth became the centerpiece of Yoko Ono’s exhibition at the London Serpentine gallery in 1971. Moving through the maze is quite difficult since it is small and has confusing transparent walls. In the original version, military helmets, piles of sand and puzzles depicting the London sky were in the center of the labyrinth. Reaching the very middle through the narrow passages, the viewer saw the inscription “The war is over if you want it.” In later versions, a telephone is placed inside the transparent maze, through which you can chat with the author of the work.
