The late painting of Kurt Seligmann, which mostly lost its bright colors, is similar to expressionistic abstraction, multi-figureness and detalisation. The canvas is filled with objects that are difficult to be identified – the figure of the king can be identified in the upper left part of the work. It is from there that the vortex-like movement of the elements of the composition begins. However, it is possible to interpret them as those attracted to the half-figure with a crown. The ocher, dark gray and golden shades of the palette create a harmonious overall gamut of the picture.
