The futuristic cult of machines and movements is expressed in this canvas most vividly and demonstratively. A car racing at a frantic speed, which crushes the surrounding space and involves all the objects nearby, occupies the center of the composition. Bright shades of red and orange are associated with the flame and indicate a high temperature around the car, which heats the air with its movement. This picture can be called futuristic in the truest sense of the word. The artist was many years ahead of his time when he depicted the streamlined shape of the car, which is completely unlike large vehicles of the early twentieth century.
