description

Mediums: oil, canvas.
Location: The ARTS Museum of Modern Art Aalborg (Denmark).

Briefly about the painting:

In the works of different periods, William Freddie constantly returned to the topic of sexuality, depicting female flesh and pleasure. The title of this work by the Danish artist is identical with the title of the film of F. Fellini of 1959. Common to these works of art is an erotic theme. On a pale green background, the viewer sees a naked and fragmented female body stretched along the diagonal of the canvas. Its lower part is identified by the image of a stylized sexual organ. There are hints of objects and furniture around the body, but the overall picture of the interior of the room does not form itself.
