Briefly about the painting:

A couple is depicted against the background of a desert landscape lit by the evening sun. The man and the woman are in close contact with each other, and their heads are jugs filled with water. The liquid from one jar is poured into another, replenishing it with its contents, as if conveying its thoughts, emotions, and memories. Many see here the merging of lovers not only physically, but also spiritually, while others see an allegory of man’s domination over a woman in this painting.
