description

Mediums: oil, canvas.
Dimensions: 65 x 81 сm.
Location: D’Orsay Museum, Paris.

The picture is made in the technique of divisionism. The larger part of the canvas is filled with bright blue water, which reflects the golden houses and boats with orange sails. The dark red buoy in the foreground catches the eye, being in sharp contrast with the rest of the painting. Here the artist slightly less obeyed the rules of the technique of neo-impressionism.
