In one of his articles, Dottori called himself “the passionate patriot of Umbria, who loves his land.” This statement is directly reflected in this work. The artist depicted the lush greenery of the forest, the shiny winding rivers encircling the whole landscape and the shining skies with his true love for his motherland. In the painting, the master used his favourite method of the perspective aerial image allowing you to view the landscape simultaneously from different points of view. Looking at the canvas, the viewer feels the greatness of the mountain scenery, the swiftness of the rivers and the silence in the air.
