Pavel Kharitonenko was a famous Ukrainian philanthropist and entrepreneur from the city of Sumy. He sponsored the construction of well-known buildings in Ukraine, such as the monument to Bogdan Khmelnitsky in Kiev, the Troitsky Cathedral in Sumy, etc.
