Portrait of organist I. A. Braudo

author

Tatyana Glebova

description

Mediums: oil, canvas.
Location: The Arkhangelsk Museum of Fine Arts (Russia).

The painting was created under the influence of the mentor of the artist, Pavel Filonov. According to the canons of analytical art, the picture has its source – the starting point from where its plot begins to develop, gradually developing and growing like a tree. The object of the image was organist Isai Braudo, with whom Glebova had close relations in the pre-war era. The tiger sitting in the foreground symbolizes aggression and perhaps indicates that this relationship was not simple.
