1924
Mediums: oil, wood, metal.
Location: The private collection of Konstantin Grigorishin, Moscow (Russia).
From the early 1920s, Yermylov preferred to work with textures, inserting metal into his reliefs. The artist presents the image of a man as a solid surface, which has life under itself. The master balanced the face in vertical and space coordinates, emphasizing soft arches and perpendicular lines. The complex silhouette supported by distinct angles and a frame glides over the black space of the background; the geometric shapes are filled with vitality and the will to act.
