The theme of music is a red thread through the entire work of the artist. Glebova played the violin professionally; however, she left classes to devote herself completely to the visual arts, and her passionate love for music found expression in many of her paintings. The work “Promusika”, made in pastel technique, depicts an organist with his back to the viewer. A bright ray of light, dropping from somewhere above, illuminates the soulful figure of the musician. Perhaps the theme was inspired by the memories of the artist’s close friend, Isaiah Braudo, who was an organist and from whom fate separated Glebov during the war years.
