One of the four images of the “Ukrainian Dante” that Arkhipenko created was installed in a park in Cleveland. The bust is created in a realistic manner with elements of romanticism. The middle-aged poet is depicted as a thinker. The sculptor-reformer amazingly conveyed the recognizable facial features of Kobzar, his sad thoughtfulness. Later, Arkhipenko offered himself as the author of the monument to the Ukrainian genius in Washington but did not want to participate in the competition, which was won by his student L. Molodozhanin.
