Although this painting belongs to the artist’s late period and is a still life, here it is possible to trace the presence of futuristic and cubist periods in the career of the painter. Moreover, it is possible not only due to the presence of different-sized letters and numbers but also due to the painting techniques – the tools are depicted fragmentarily; they overlap each other, repeating and interrupting the outlines. This is done in such a way that the viewer feels the sound of peppy music, which “pushes” space around the instruments. The air is depicted as “trembling” and as if by soft strokes, while the instruments are depicted dense and decisive, but not rough. The bluish background of the environment highlights the gold of music.
