In honor of Bleriot

Delaunay dedicated this painting to famous French inventor Louis Bleriot, who is known to the world as the first pilot who overflew the English Channel in 1909. Here you can see the outlines of the Eiffel Tower, an aircraft propeller and a man. The dynamism of the composition is successfully conveyed by means of bright color contrasts.
