Chicago (the USA).
One of the most famous works of Alexander Calder, impressive in its scale and harmony of dynamic lines, is located on the central square in Chicago. The bright red colour with which the author covered the whole work contrasts with the dark office buildings that surround the sculpture from all sides. Despite its large size, the sculpture looks light and elegant, like all the works of Calder, as if floating in the air among the glass and concrete of the surrounding city. The open design allows passers-by to walk freely under the supports of the sculpture, and tourists visiting Chicago love to take a memory photo at the foot of the Flamingo.
