description

Mediums: gouache on paper.
Location: private collection.

A feature of the works of Mykhailo Andriienko created in the style of surrealism is unusual combinations of real objects. The artist was looking for a connection between the real and the unknown, mysterious world. For example, in a still life inscribed in the interior of a dark and empty room, a clock, a painted dish and a plaster hand are adjoining. The front-mounted fair scene is very reminiscent of theatrical scenery. At the same time, the unreality of huge predators walking freely around fragile people makes us think that they are simply depicted on a high fence. Usually, the author used very delicate flavors in surreal compositions. Here it is designed in pink and purple-gray shades of the palette.
