Mediums: stone, concrete.
Location: The village of Pyatimorsk, Volgograd region (Russia).

The 16-meter composition-monument is dedicated to the meeting of the troops of the Stalingrad and South-Western fronts during the counterattack operation “Uranus” in 1942. The multidisciplinary sculpture involves inspection from three sides – that’s why four fighters (a motorized rifleman, an infantryman, a horse guardsman and a tankman) are facing each other half-turn, and behind their backs are the banners of the united fronts. At the same time, two soldiers shake their hands. For the construction of the bulk hill, land from the construction of the channel of the navigable Volga-Don canal was used. The monument was erected 12 kilometers from the place of the historic event since it was flooded by the waters of the Karpovskoye reservoir.
