The nude works created in the 1990s were combined by the author in the Late Nudes series. In these paintings, Lichtenstein returned to the figures from the comic and works in a similar but somewhat modified technique. In “Nude with a White Flower”, he used not only his raster dots but also stripes and collage elements that he had not used before. His palette is still distinguished by pure bright colours, but one colour is mainly used; in this work, it is blue. The artist did not use real models to paint women; he redrew pictures from magazines or used his works of past years as an example.
