The painting depicting a parachutist’s jump is one of the most impressive and famous works of the master. It shows the original top view just above the head of the person taking the jump. Rushing through the clouds, the paratrooper spreads his arms to the side as if floating in the air and confidently holding his balance. The feeling of free fall in the picture is conveyed so reliably that it can make some viewers feel scared of heights.
