Looking at the picture, the viewer sees a strange plot: many well-dressed men in bowlers hang just in the air, resembling raindrops over a faceless city. At first, it seems that all these people are exactly the same, but if you look closely, it becomes clear that each of them has some differences. Despite this, it is not possible to understand who these men are and why they are located in such a correct geometric order. The title of the work is also intriguing. Golconda is a city in India, which is famous for its excellent diamonds. Still, so far no one has managed to draw a parallel between the Indian city and the peculiar positions of men on the canvas.
