Suprematic composition

author

Ilya Chashnik

description

Mediums: oil, canvas.
Location: private collection.

Each individual work, according to the theory of the Suprematist, is a moment in the life of a non-objective infinite world. The artist, although he was freed from all images, ideas and impressions caused by any real objects, aimed to show a certain unity of the system of signs and harmony in the combination of the colors of the palette. The composition, referring to the late period of the career of Ilya Chashnik, is multicolored and multi-figured; it also contains the philosophy of cyclical existance (big red circle) and the dynamics expressed in the energetic tendency of vertical elements.
