description

Mediums: oil, canvas.
Location: The Gallery of Italian Contemporary Art (London, the UK).

This painting is a vivid example of the artist’s experiments to combine several types of art into one. The canvas dedicated to music demonstrates the effect of sounds in combination with movement and colour on the human mind. The work created by the musician surrounds him with invisible waves; it is compressed by spiral rings and splashes bright colour flashes, ready to rush out of the canvas. At the same time, the faces of the audience in the hall are depicted as multi-coloured masks expressing the most diverse emotions and directed towards the dark central figure of the performer.
