The work entitled “Speed” consists of three equivalent parts: “Beginning”, “Path” and “Arrival”. As the name implies, we are talking about different phases of the movement of the same object, which display its motion in space and time. The picture shows the speed of the aircraft, although this study is quite applicable to cars, trains and other moving objects. The idea of dividing the movement into three separate phases is quite interesting since most Futurists considered speed as a sequence of movement that does not have its beginning and end. Many critics call this work the pinnacle of Dottori’s creative career and his most ambitious futuristic work.
