“The starry night” depicts the view from the east-facing window of the artist’s asylum room at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, just before sunrise, with the addition of an idealized village. The master draws the attention of the viewer to those fantasies that make the surrounding world more vivid and non-standard. There is a cypress between the sky and the ground. It symbolizes the energy coming to all people from the space.
