Works of the artist’s late period have smooth concentric repeating planes penetrating a conditionally depicted but similar to real space. A calm, often ocher or bluish palette and the softness of lines are in many paintings of the 1930s: “Woman with Birds”, “Sea Shore”, etc. The artist paid much attention to the exquisite combination of colour and character movement – the woman on the canvas seems to push the air, leaving areas in it. This is how the artist uses one of the favourite techniques of Cubo-futurists in a new way.
