Briefly about the painting:
This is the second of three seasonal paintings that were completed by the artist. The plot shows an impossible landscape, which includes a broken tree and a jagged-aggressive boulder. They abruptly stick out from a too smooth layer of snow, and a lively variety of multicolored tropical birds frolics everywhere. The critic, who noted that the artist’s later works “have almost a rainbow in every painting”, he meant, among other things, the unfinished series “Four Seasons”. The colors of Blume are really electrified, anxious even in this winter landscape.
