The canvas resembling paintings by Paul Cezanne is created in an expressive manner. The local and vast planes of the clear and very bright palette are arranged in specific horizontal layers, against which pine trunks are painted in spectacular knotted verticals. The dark green rock looks very conditional and resembles the head of a fantastic creature, on whose back fancy trees have just grown. The compositional accent is the blue sea, the coolness of which balances the hot colours of the sky and the coast.
