The work reveals another Cornell’s significant area of interest – astronomy. The laws of the motion of celestial bodies, the complex trajectories of their flight in the endless space excited the artist’s imagination from his childhood. He placed his Universe composed of various objects in a light brown box with a pull-out shelf below, resembling a grandmother’s sideboard, in which glassware is stored. With the help of old schemes and maps, the artist conveyed the idea of the harmony of the universe, and glasses with colourful balls placed in them create a certain rhythm and give the composition an interesting highlight.
