About the painting:
The landscape created from the real impressions has special mood. In terms of style, the work can rather be attributed to late Post-impressionism or Expressionism. The anxious feeling, despite the external calmness of the landscape with elements of architecture, is conveyed to the viewer by the color scheme of the painting – by thick, almost black shades and the tilt of a large tree in the foreground. Earthly shadows obscured the half-sky, shining with southern purity in the dark part. High, blank walls, roofless houses and a gray narrow street with no signs of habitat seem just decoration.
