1992
Location: the Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao, Spain.
The sculpture consisting of natural flowers has the shape of a sitting puppy and is 13 meters high. To make the vast topiary, the artist used tens of thousands of flowers that are mounted on a metal frame and equipped with an irrigation system. Created for an exhibition in Germany, the dog changed its location several times until it was bought by the Solomon Guggenheim Foundation and exhibited in front of the museum in Bilbao. Being quite decent and peaceful, especially in comparison with other works of Jeff Koons, this sculpture attracted the attention of robbers who tried to blow it up by pretending to be gardeners but were stopped by the police.
