A painting, according to Filonov, should grow like a crystal or a plant, and gradually fill the whole canvas a stroke by a stroke. It is not by chance that the author added an explanation to the title of this picture-formula, “Filonov’s acting forces”. According to the principle of organic chemistry, the world grows as a life-giving grain in the painting with the help of his forces. At the same time, it is obvious that the process is continuing outside the canvas. The picture conceals the universe in every centimeter and has holographic and meditative properties. The finest brush rapidly follows the author’s intention: to display pure bloom when the very essence of the movement of atoms is transferred to the canvas. No spontaneity in painting – this is a real “complete art”.
