description

Mediums: oil, paper.
Location: The State Tretyakov Gallery Moscow (Russia).

This work mainly grew out of music; the artist himself did not deny that. The composition that has no classic picture depth is arranged vertically as a combination of abstract details. Suddenly, images suddenly emerge from their blue-ocher kaleidoscope: male and female profiles and half-faces, distinct individual and united into a trinity, as well as inverted. They have no age criteria or signs of social affiliation, and these categories are not leveled by chance – they are listeners of powerful music that “turns out” some of them. The space woven of crystalline forms and the enchanted looks of the characters are very attractive. The painting came to the Tretyakov Gallery from the personal collection of G. Kastaki, which was brought there in 1977 with that part of the paintings that he was forced to leave in the USSR before leaving for his homeland in Greece.
