The laconic landscape conveys a sunny day (more precisely, judging by the long, expressive shadows, this is morning). Houses, a road and a simple fence are depicted schematically, with large colour planes using geometric shapes. However, unlike analytical cubism, which came into fashion, the artist used one perspective, did not split objects into fragments and did not pay attention to details. Despite the apparent presence of almost the entire palette of very bright colours in the painting, the landscape is harmonious – no colour is out of the joyful picture.
