1914 - 1915
Mediums: oil, canvas.
Location: the State Art Museum, Nizhny Novgorod (Russia).
The third of the series of Cubo-futuristic still lifes, which the artist placed in a certain oval. Such a technique evokes associations with a dish with various objects – from factory pipes and mechanisms to a simple fork. These objects can form, for example, a kaleidoscope of impressions that a city dweller received during the day – the dial hints at such a time – its fragment is located in the upper right, most sunny corner of the picture. Many of the most incompatible objects are united by a colouristic concept, in which the warm and cold shades of the palette are quite harmoniously balanced.
