The motive of sleepwalking in surrealistic painting is one of the most popular. The sleepwalker of Styrsky is indicated only by a not oval head resembling the bald head of a mannequin, on one side of which a dark strip resembling hard wavy hair is depicted. It is located at the top of the canvas – it is implied that there are protective nets at a considerable height, as indicated by fragments of the stairs. They are depicted as freely located geometric surfaces, not interconnected. The constructions fill the composition and at the same time create the semblance of courageous balancing of the sleepwalker above the ground.
