author

Ivan Vasilievich Kliun

description

Mediums: wood, oil, iron, wire.
Location: The State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow (Russia).

Briefly about the painting:

Ivan Kliun had several works with this title. The motif of the movement of the landscape from any vehicle is beneficial for adherents of Futurism. This relief has also features of Cubism. Apart from oil paints, the author uses different materials so that the viewer sees exactly the urban landscape, in particular, poles with wires. The work was exhibited at the “Last Futuristic Exhibition “O.10”” and was an important achievement of Kliun, who created the first projects of moving spatial structures in Russian art during this period. The relief painting was acquired by George Costakis, who subsequently donated it to the Tretyakov Gallery.
